Check out our video from our honeymoon in the Cook Islands
With the summer coming to an end I wanted to post some of the night shots I got this year while camping. It was an amazing summer and I got to camp quite a bit. These are shots from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Aspen, Breckenridge, Grand Lake, and some shots from Glacier National Park in Montana.
We were watching our friend Kristins dog Orvis last weekend. I just got the new Sony 85mm f/2.8 lens and thought I would test it out with a few pet shots and a little trip to Wash Park. While this lens isnt nearly as nice as the Sony Carl Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 it is actually a pretty nice lens for the price. The biggest problem I have with it is the build quality. The lens is very light and it feels poorly assembled. It actually rattles a little which is not something I have seen with other Sony lenses. Its not that surprising though considering how cheap the lens is.
The image quality is pretty good with this lens though, which is the most important thing. The bokeh is pretty good and it is a sharp lens even when shooting wide open. At over $1000 cheaper than the CZ 85mm f/1.4 its an easy choice if you arent super loaded.
